Onboard acts just like a car navigator so you can see where you are while driving, but without any need for a dedicated tracking infrastructure. In case of emergency, the system helps you to navigate to the closest rescue chamber.

With Onboard integrated with a light vehicle or mobile equipment, you get a virtual “radar” that warns you about any other vehicles coming your way. This helps you avoid traffic congestions.

With Onboard, you have the mine at your fingertips. Just like in the control room, you can access all information needed to become aware of the current situation in the mine.

A disruptive product that is changing the underground mining world

With Onboard mounted inside a vehicle, you get a virtual “radar” that warns you about any other vehicles coming your way. Since Onboard knows about all assets in the mine and who is moving in what direction, together with its own location and direction with an accuracy of 5-10 meters, we can create an early warning before a potential traffic situation occurs. This lets you sort out the situation before it becomes a problem. This also allows prioritized heavy traffic to keep driving undisturbed which improves haulage efficiency.

Just like a car GPS, anyone can navigate to a location or to a moving asset without any specific knowledge about the environment. It does not require any specialized or costly hardware. Instead, it is designed to run on a standard Android tablet. The best route will be highlighted in the 3D map for easy turn-by-turn navigation.

With Onboard inside a vehicle, the driver can avoid traffic congestion and see the best route to a destination.

Onboard is easily mounted, requiring just some add-on hardware and an Android tablet.

All information from vehicles, people and fixed assets are sent to the technology agnostic location engine.

Drivers get warnings of incoming traffic well in advance, enabling them to safely park and give way to prioritized vehicles.

The traffic awareness bar shows a logical view of all oncoming traffic.

Available offline thanks to Hybrid positioning

The tracking without infrastructure is possible due to the new disruptive innovation Hybrid positioning (pat. pend.). Hybrid Positioning is based upon cutting-edge sensor fusion, artificial intelligence, advanced mathematics and allows for self-sustained positioning of a vehicle with 5-10 meters accuracy – without any dedicated infrastructure for positioning.
