New RockStars Join our Product Line-up

We’re always excited when we get to announce new additions to our product lines. We usually launch new products after months of research and development or when we get valuable feedback from our clients. When we launched our RockStar line a few years ago, we were happy to be able to offer drillers a core bit that provided many benefits, including its self-sharpening ability.

We recently launched the RockStar 7 and the RockStar 9F. Both of these new products share the properties of the RockStar line, making them ideal for shallow holes or underground drilling where ground conditions are variable. They also allow drillers to adjust drilling parameters to increase the penetration rate without sacrificing bit life. When used with a powerful drill rig, drillers can push on the bit to get even better penetration rates.

With the new RockStar 7, drillers have an option for ground that is between 5.5 and 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. We developed its matrix to provide good penetration even with quartz veins. Drillers love that these bits cut freely so for the RockStar 9F, we enhanced the free-cutting ability. The 9F is suitable for ground that is between 6 and 7.25 on the Mohs scale and is available in every configuration. Like the other RockStars, the 7 and the 9F also eliminate the need for manual sharpening.
