Terracore – for soil and site investigation

Terracore is ideal for traditional core drilling in soft and shallow formations, where large core sample is required for best possible core quality. Epiroc offers a full range of conventional core barrels for geotechnical and a large S-size wire line core barrel to make the sampling reliable and fast. Terracore can be used in a wide range of applications, for example carrying out site investigation in urban construction sites, drilling grout holes in tunnels and on both onshore and offshore hydroelectric power projects.

S Geobor

Epiroc's large diameter wire line core drilling system S Geobor, is a triple tube core barrel, providing undisturbed core samples in 4" (102 millimeter). The system has been developed to recover undisturbed core samples in most of the existing rock conditions. It provides seven different method combinations to fit a wide range of applications.The S Geobor system has become the system of choice for many international site investigation projects.

Terracore core drilling bits

The Terracore bit range is cost efficient for geotechnical core sampling and rotary drilling in soft sedimentary rock. The different bits are:

• Diamond impregnated bits (IMP)

• Diamond surface set bits (SS)

• TC or corborit set bits (TC OR CRB)

• PCD set bits (DPX OR TRX)

• Non-coring bits (SS, DBX, TC)
