A wide range of solutions

Epiroc has a Geophysical Logging Service which will precisely match your needs

Epiroc are pioneers of the industry with a wide range of wireline logging conveyancing options available to allow measurements to be made in almost any environment including on blast‐pads, sides of mountains and inside dam walls.

Technologies range from the semi‐automated OreSight™ platform, to conventional multi‐tool logging trucks, to a range of portable winches for remote and helicopter supported operations.

The standard winch is capable of handling up to 2000 meters of wireline, and all of our winches are installed with 4 core wireline to allow fast logging speeds with high bandwidth tools.

Data obtained by these vehicles can be used to enhance the understanding of the sub-surface and to build improved geology, geotechnical, geomechanical and hydrogeological models, therefore allowing companies to utilize cost effective drilling techniques.

Applications overview

Downhole geophysics has a wide range of applications across the mining process. The data can be used to enhance the understanding of the sub-surface and to build improved geology, geotechnical, geomechanical and hydrogeological models.
Providing in-situ data with high accuracy depth, the measurements can be used to correct models based on surface geophysics and reduce the reliance on high cost core drilling.

These techniques allow companies to utilise cost effective drilling methods such as reverse circulation. They also provide companies with an option to drill more of their resource for a given budget and still gather high quality data to enhance their sub-surface knowledge.
