Epiroc Amrutdhara Program focuses on ‘Water for All’ and primarily aims to provide safe drinking water to water stressed rural and semi-urban geographies in India. Under this program we undertake de-silting of check dams, construction and repair of water storage tanks, installation and repair of broken water pipelines and solar based water lifting device installation, installation of filters to provide safe drinking water and water preservation for future.
Our employees are passionately driven to make voluntary contributions from their salary of certain amounts to be spent exclusively for provision of clean drinking water to people. This has motivated the Company to chip in with an amount equal to twice the employee contribution. This sum will be exclusively spent for enabling clean drinking water to people.
Water preservation is an important aspect of this initiative and we undertake this activity with the participation of villages. The villagers contribute voluntary labour, locally available resources where construction work is required and donation of land to the community wherever applicable. This will significantly reduce the struggle and toil of women who travel long distances to procure water. It will also help improve the enrolment and attendance of girls in rural schools.
