Environment and economy are two sides of a coin, if we cannot sustain the environment, then we cannot sustain ourselves. Epiroc Vasundhara Program focuses on Environment. We can improve the quality of our living and the environment through active planting, proper maintenance and preservation of trees while bringing about improvements in the beautification of the country. Through Vasundhara we are making concentrated efforts to increase green cover by sapling plantation on one hand and enhancing the environmental awareness levels in the community on the other hand. Our environmental awareness programmes aim to sensitize young children, youth and citizens about environment preservation. We aim to ensure and enhance sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water, protection of national heritage, supporting art and culture including restoration of buildings and sites of historical importance and works of art and focus on energy efficiency projects.
