Push and Pull Diamond Core Bits

The push and pull diamond impregnated bit is a specialized tool that is commonly used in underground drilling for a variety of reasons, such as service holes for air, water, paste fill or sand fill.

It is a much larger, bi-directional bit with a diamond matrix. The push and pull bit is used to expand the diameter of a bore hole once a diamond drill has accurately drilled a pilot hole in a common standard size such as NWL.

  • Saves time – it is much easier and quicker to expand an existing smaller hole than to drill a large diameter hole.
  • Can be used with smaller underground drill rigs.
  • Causes less vibration resulting in less wear and tear on equipment.

Sometimes, one major issue will have a negative impact on drilling productivity, and fixing it is all it takes. Sometimes, productivity is improved by tweaking a bunch of little things. If you adjust several things, the results can make a big difference. So this blog looks at 8 tips for increasing your productivity.

Waiting for new drilling equipment can take longer than usual these days. Supply chains everywhere are being negatively impacted by external events far more frequently than ever before. Disruptive events, like the recent pandemic, are causing potential disruption to business activity and the drilling and mining industries are not immune. Delays are now common for drilling equipment especially those made with steel, such as drill rods, inner and outer tubes, etc.
