Expand your world: Major leap for operator comfort with new cabin for SmartROC T35 and T40 rigs

2 de julio de 2025

Epiroc is launching updated versions of its class-leading SmartROC T35 and T40 rigs. As part of this update, a new impressive operator cabin is included, which will help to further increase productivity and operator comfort and safety.
“Our new cabin is packed with numerous improvements that will support an efficient and smooth operation", says Ulf Gyllander, Global Product Manager, Epiroc Surface division.
The SmartROC T35 and T40 are well-liked machines thanks to their productivity and class-leading fuel-efficiency. The experience they offer will now be further enhanced as the new updated cabin is quieter and reduces vibrations levels. It’s also lighter and more spacious.
Our new cabin will increase the comfort for the operator in many ways, which helps to reduce fatigue and keep productivity high", says Ulf Gyllander.
Several new features will also have a positive effect on safety, as they now can be controlled from inside the cabin.
The less the operator has to be put in the way of potential dangers, the better it is from a safety point of view”, says Ulf Gyllander.
A brand-new blast-resistance glass option is also an important safety benefit, as it will help to avoid flying debris from penetrating the cabin space. The glass area itself also presents the operator with a fantastic view over the drill-area and top of the mast.
The blast-resistance glass combined with a much-improved air-filtering system, which reduces dust levels in the cabin, will improve both safety and work environment for personnel", adds Ulf Gylllander

The new generation SmartROC T35/T40 also includes new options such as a bit-grinder so that operators can ensure that rig drilling performance is kept to a maximum at all times.

“We believe that this generation SmartROC T35 and T40 builds on the legacy we have built up from the previous generations These new rigs offer the same reliability, but boost productivity, further reduce costs and TCO whilst also substantially increasing operator comfort", adds Ulf Gyllander

The updated SmartROC T35 and T40 will be available for orders from 1 July, 2025.
