Introducing Powerbit for T-WiZ60 threads

In December of 2015, Atlas Copco Secoroc introduced an all-new bit range for tophammer drilling – Powerbit. The first thread system to reach the market was T45. Since the introduction, Powerbit T45, T51, ST58 and ST68 have met, and surpassed all goals and expectations. Service life is improved up to 75 % – at significantly higher penetration rates.
Powerbit T-WiZ60
Now, we introduce Powerbit T-WiZ60 (92 mm – 152 mm) for bench drilling and construction sites. Powerbit T-WiZ60 has all the same characteristics that have made Powerbit so successful. The bit shape is optimised. The bit body steel is harder and stronger. And the patented Enduro Extra button surface treatment technology and Trubbnos button shape, are developed for outstanding strength and wear resistance. The 140 mm and 152 mm T-WiZ60 Powerbits also feature a Powerface with five gauge button islands. This design maintains the correct distance between the gauge buttons so that as much of the wellbore floor can be crushed with as few hammer strokes as possible.
