Byrnecut has selected the Epiroc Boltec M to trial bulk resin injection rock bolts in Australian mines as the system has been in operation overseas and has demonstrated reliability of operation and productivity rates 3 to 4 times greater than traditional jumbo bolting systems.
Byrnecut has a long history working with Epiroc as the operator of the world’s largest MT6020/MT65 trucking fleet and have confidence in their ability to support this new machine.
The capability of the Boltec to improve productivity when installing resin grouted rock bolts in fractured ground conditions has the potential to offer significant benefits to our clients and superior quality control on the bolting cycle. The concept of resin injection with self drilling anchor rock bolts will become increasingly more relevant as mines get deeper and encounter adverse ground conditions and Byrnecut will be the leader in this technology.
