Developed to assure a safe work environment

The CE version of the Boyles C6 and C6C is developed with safety as a top priority, with the goal to minimize the risk of personal injury during operation. Here are some of the key safety features connected to the rig:

  • The robust guard for Protection of Moving Parts (PoMP) is mounted on the mast to fulfil the EN 16228 standard, to prevent operators from coming into contact with moving parts.
  • · The possibility to slide the rotation unit to the side with help from a hydraulic cylinder, making the move easier and safer.
  • · A new brake system (for the trailer version) will enhance safety while stopping and running.
  • The winch motor is equipped with a built-in auto lock device, preventing the wireline winch from accidental moving during motor parking.
  • The ROM (Restricted Operating Mode) makes sure to control rotation speed as well as feed speed, when the cage is open
The new version will be available for sales from June 2022.
