Epiroc unveils major upgrades to DM30 XC blasthole drill rig

Epiroc announces significant upgrades to its renowned DM30 XC blasthole drill rig. These enhancements represent a bold step forward in drilling technology and provide extended working life, increased safety, improved efficiency, and a reduced carbon footprint.    

These latest upgrades to the DM30 XC mark a significant advancement in drilling technology. By integrating innovative solutions, Epiroc has not only enhanced the rig's performance and reliability but also ensured optimal operational in every drilling scenario. These upgrades include advanced lubrication systems, reinforced components, and improved safety features like the upgraded jack screw or the tower-locking reinforcement, all aimed at extending the working life of the rig while minimizing maintenance requirements, thereby increasing operational efficiency, and reducing downtime.

The DM30 XC blasthole drill rig has long been recognized for its exceptional capabilities, boasting a 9.1 m (30 ft) drill pipe change and a clean depth capacity of 45.1 m (148 ft), depending on drill pipe size. Capable of both Single Pass drilling and Multi Pass drilling, the DM30 XC offers flexibility to handle drill pipe sizes ranging from 102 mm (4 in) up to 159 mm (6-1/4 in) and weight on a bit of 20 000 kgs (44 000 lb). This makes the DM30 XC versatile and powerful, suitable for a wide range of drilling applications.
